Hello my dear Lovelies. I hope you all are getting ready for a fabulous weekend. While today’s post is casual fashion, I also want to talk a bit about hairstyle and makeup. Braid is such a popular trend and has always been my favorite. Though because of my busy schedule during the week I was never able to try so many new hair styles out there. But finally, I found some time to style my hair and thanks to youtube and luxyhair for  their informative videos. I always thought fish tail braid is super complex and would take a long time but girls, seriously – it’s not that bad. It took me 3 tries before I got it right! After trying for some time, ta-da, I had fishtail! I had lunch date with my friends the same afternoon and I decided to take my new style there. Trust me once you set the braid properly it lasts easily for a day or two and the messier it gets the better it looks ;). Also, you could use hair extensions to make it look thicker and bigger which I might try soon 🙂

I also want to talk about my makeup for this shoot. It has been super simple since I started using bareMinerals complexion rescue. It is a Beauty balm, a Color Correcting and a tinted moisturizer all in one. It leaves skin much more hydrated  with beautiful radiant, soft, smooth finish. And best of all it has antioxidants and SPF 30 protection. I personally found it very helpful for winters. In this shoot I have the complexion rescue, a little bit of blush, kajal and lip gloss.

As for the dress-up, I wanted to keep my outfit simple and casual and to focus on the braid. After living in Boston, the only way to survive is layering up on clothing. So, I have faux leather leggings with a white chiffon shirt and Banana Republic sweater. This white shirt is so appropriate for any weather. I am so done shopping for winters. I am definitely going to style the same shirt in a total different way during spring and summer, so this shirt is money well spent ;-). I completed the look by wrapping this woolen super cozy coral blue scarf and faux patent leather oxfords (also made me feel that the spring is not too far away). The rose pink wrap coat is the perfect layering.

Thanks for stopping by and if you have not tried the fish trail braid yet, I am putting the link to the video down here. Do try it and let me know how it goes! Complexion rescue is definitely a skin saver for me this winter, I would love to know how did you like it? And as always I would be very happy to answer any questions! Thanks again for all the love. xoxo

Meg
