The heat is on! And the only way to beat the heat is to bring that hemline up and bare the shoulders a bit. For today’s post I am going to talk about shorts and tops. Being the essential must haves for summer, both these provide the quintessential look for summer with endless possibilities to mix and match. 

As for this outfit, I decided to go with black shorts and shot of pop for top. Its no mellow yellow either, I upped with a bright pop of yellow with floral design. I think one should never shy away from colors. I used to be one who would only try subdued colors and now I feel that I missed out on so much. I never knew how bright colors add wonderful dimension to an outfit. I also loved the details on the shorts. It has character and the lacy+fringe design feel makes it stand out. Overall the whole outfit is airy and easy to carry around on a hot summer day. As for accessories, I just carried around my small city bag, bangles and one of my beloved Burberry watch – and not to forget the shades from Hawkers Co. Shades are essential for multiple reasons but it also adds freshness to the outfit.
